London Celebrates Canada

London Celebrates Canada presents its fifth Canada Day celebration at Harris Park, July 1st, 2014. Free admission to the public, this will be a day filled with an exciting lineup of entertainment and fun!

Celebration opens at noon with the First Nations’ gathering, followed by the singing of the National Anthem by Jennifer Fagan, the official Canada Day and Citizenship ceremony and the cutting of the Canada Flag cake, courtesy of Loblaw Great Food. Stage performances starting at 3pm include: Robert Davis – A children’s performer heard on Galaxy TV and seen on Treehouse TV, Cracovia Polish Folk Dance Ensemble at 4pm followed by Rise 2 Fame Youth Talent Search presented by Western Fair District at 5pm.  The ever popular Light of East Ensemble performs at 6pm and Canada Sings, a celebration of the diverse musical richness of great Canadian artists performs at 7pm followed by our headliner, Sarah Smith  winner of Best Singer/Songwriter at The 2013 JRMAs.
Other activities include food vendors featuring Kin Canada’s annual Canada Day BBQ; community and cultural exhibits, along with London Children’s Museum activity for the kids, and a special salute to Canada’s Heroes.

Priya Madaan, Miss Canada 2014 and Ms. Tamara Chapman will co-host festivities.
Spectacular Fireworks at 10pm. Please note that the Queens and Riverside bridges are closed to all pedestrian and vehicular traffic from 9pm until 11pm to ensure a safe exhibition.

London Celebrates Canada is a non-profit; non-partisan community organization dedicated to the understanding and celebration of Canada’s proud history and richly diversified culture. London Celebrates Canada accomplishes this patriotic vision building momentum for the one hundred and fiftieth anniversary of Canada’s confederation by engaging the Canada Day celebrations that instills pride and commitment to Canada on both an individual and community level.
